  • Example: A player can bring Reva, Kaleos, Vaath, and Sajj. A player cannot bring Reva, Kaleos, Zirix, Sajj.

*Note: A full length rulebook will be published before the next DWC Qualifier, outlining all of the specifics.

Changing Number of Invites to DWC Qualifier

50 → 32

This change works on two fronts. First, it makes earning an invitation to a DWC Qualifier more competitive. We believe this is healthier for the tournament scene as a whole. Second, 32 is the maximum number of players who can participate in Swiss tournament while limiting the number of rounds to five.

Expanding DWC Point Pool

While there are no specifics to report on at the moment, we are working feverishly to sanction more tournaments and give players more opportunities to rack up those DWC points! Some events to look out for in December include:

  • Weekday Tournaments
  • EU-friendly Tournaments
  • The inclusion of DWC points in Team Wars Season 4
  • And much more!

Rewarding DWC Points for the Ranked Ladder

That’s right, we are bringing it back! The ranked ladder was removed from the DWC equation while our team worked out a few kinks. However, that was months ago and things are running quite smoothly nowadays! However, we want to be clear on our intent here. The primary means of getting an invitation to a DWC Qualifier is by performing well in sanctioned tournaments. We do not want the ladder to overshadow that. With that being said, here is the point breakdown:

1st: 10 points
2nd-10th: 8 points
11th- 25th: 7 points
25th- 50th: 5 points
51st- 100th: 3 points

*Note: Players will have to play a minimum of 50 games in S-Rank to qualify for DWC Points.
